Description

Kerawax Coconut Container 4135

Coconut wax has a lower melting point and softer texture compared to other plant-based waxes, making it an excellent choice for scented container candles. It features a smooth white appearance, low crystallisation, excellent glass adhesion, and clean burning qualities.

This coconut wax blend contains a small proportion of soy wax.

Not tested on animals. GMO free – due to the widespread presence of genetically modified soy crops, the manufacturer cannot guarantee the absolute absence of GMO traces, but every effort is made to source GMO-free raw materials.

Candle making tips

  • If you notice a weak or unstable flame, try a different wick size. Test burns should be carried out no sooner than 48 hours after pouring.
  • If the candle burns too quickly during testing and excessive wax consumption occurs, switch to a smaller wick size.
  • If the candle develops an uneven surface or tunnels while burning, select a larger wick size.
  • Candle moulds and containers must be clean. Use containers at room temperature, or for best results, preheat them to around 45 °C. This helps the wax distribute evenly and ensures a smooth, even burn.
  • Experiment with different wax dyes, fragrance oils, and wicks to create the perfect candle. Each element can influence the overall burn quality.

Recommended temperatures

  • Do not overheat the wax, as this may affect its physical and chemical properties (maximum heating temperature: 85 °C). Excessive heating can cause cracks when removing candles from moulds. While the candle’s burn quality and performance remain unaffected, overheating may compromise the candle’s appearance.
  • Melting point: approx. 50 °C
  • Dye addition: add powdered dyes at ~75 °C (liquid dyes at ~70 °C)
  • Fragrance addition: at ~70 °C
Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for fragrance load, typically 5–10%.
  • Pouring temperature: 55–65 °C
  • Allow candles to set at room temperature (~25 °C)
