Large Plastic Candle Mould for 3-Wick Cylindrical Candle
This is the largest plastic candle mould in our range, designed for creating impressive, large-format cylindrical candles. With a finished diameter of 150 mm and a height of 200 mm, the result is a substantial, eye-catching candle that can become a statement piece in an interior.
The mould is made from thick and durable recycled polycarbonate and is designed for long-term repeated use. Its one-piece construction allows you to cast a perfectly shaped cylindrical candle without side seam lines.
Due to its exceptionally large 150 mm diameter, the mould is designed for three wicks. The wicks are positioned at different points within the candle to help achieve a more even burn across such a large diameter.
This is an excellent choice for creating large-format, premium decorative candles for interiors, photoshoots, event décor or distinctive candle collections.
What Wax Can Be Used?
The mould is suitable for:
- paraffin;
- paraffin and stearin blends;
- plant-based waxes designed for pillar / moulded candles.
When using plant-based wax, it is important to choose wax specifically designed for pillar candles and moulding. Soft waxes intended for container candles are generally not suitable for this type of mould.
Making a 3-Wick Candle
Unlike our smaller plastic candle moulds, this mould is specifically designed for a three-wick candle.
The mould has designated openings for the wicks and comes with two special needles for tensioning and securing the wicks.
Before pouring the wax, the wicks must be correctly positioned, tensioned and secured. The wick openings at the bottom of the mould must be securely sealed from the outside to prevent melted wax from leaking out during pouring.
Once the mould is prepared:
- Prepare and correctly position all 3 wicks.
- Tension and secure the wicks.
- Seal the wick openings securely.
- Melt the selected wax according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Pour the wax into the mould.
- Allow the candle to cool and solidify completely.
- Carefully remove the finished candle from the mould.
Due to the large volume of the candle, we recommend not rushing the demoulding process – a candle of this size requires more time to cool completely than smaller candles.
Important: Choosing the Right Wicks
Choosing the right wicks is particularly important for large-diameter candles. The required wick size depends not only on the candle diameter but also on the wax, fragrance, colourants and other components used in the candle.
For this reason, we do not recommend one universal wick size. Before producing candles for sale, it is essential to carry out burn tests using your chosen wax and wicks.
