Premium Oak Wooden Lid for 280 ml Candle Jar, Ø79 mm – Dark Stained, Matte Finish

The lid is made from natural oak, preserving the authentic wood texture and grain pattern. The surface is treated with several shades of wood stain (3 Mix Stain) and finished with a clear matte varnish (Transparent Matt Varnish).

This finishing process gives the oak a richer, deeper colour while allowing the natural character and grain of the wood to remain visible.

Dark Stained Oak with a Matte Protective Finish

The dark stain gives the lid a more distinctive, elegant and premium appearance. Unlike opaque paint, wood stain penetrates and enhances the natural wood rather than covering it, allowing the grain and texture to remain visible. As a result, every dark stained oak candle lid has its own unique appearance.

After staining, the surface is coated with a clear matte varnish, which helps protect the wood while maintaining a natural, non-glossy look.

The protective varnish is especially practical for candle lids. Untreated natural wood can absorb candle wax, oils from fingerprints and other dirt, which may lead to stains or changes in the colour of the wood over time.

The varnished surface is easier to maintain and can be gently wiped with a soft cloth when needed.

With a Black Gasket

This model features a black gasket specifically designed to fit the inner diameter of our 280 ml glass candle jars. The gasket helps the lid sit more firmly and securely on the jar.

This is the main difference between this premium model and our natural oak lid without a gasket. The premium version not only rests on the jar but also provides a more secure and snug fit.

The lid helps protect the candle from dust and reduces fragrance diffusion when the candle is not in use. However, even with the gasket, we do not recommend lifting or carrying a full candle jar by holding only the lid.

Natural Oak – Every Lid Is Unique

Because these lids are made from genuine natural oak, the wood grain, texture and colour may vary slightly from one lid to another. One lid may feature more pronounced grain patterns, while another may have a more even texture.

These variations are not defects. On the contrary, they are a natural characteristic of real wood and give each oak candle lid its own individual appearance.
